Our story

Our story

We're Brook and Elise, two moms brought together by our kids, who realized how different childhood looks today to the one we remember.

We grew up with stories that invited us to slow down - where choosing a movie felt like an event and the experience stayed with you long after the screen went dark. Today, children's content is faster, louder, and designed to capture attention, not nurture it. We found ourselves caught in a tug of war: trying to eliminate screen time entirely or justify it to ourselves.

What we were really searching for was
balance. Protege Kids was created to bring that back - reimagining storytelling with depth and intention. Because more isn't always better, but less can't be the only answer.
